“Since childhood, I have loved the creative process—working with my hands, building with tools, drawing, painting, and creating with found objects. Right now, I’m finding that paper clay has such potential, and it allows me to best express myself.
“My “Earthen Women” were inspired by a painting of women dancing freely together. The wall hanging series is the result of a powerful image captured in a photograph of a cave’s inner surface. It grabbed my imagination, reminding me of my love of patterns and the play of order and randomness in nature.
“Reflection on my past and present life are stimulating my “Emerging” series, and my cheerful “Stretching” series is a happy invitation to simplicity and lightness of being.
“My intentions are to develop myself and my clay in new direction. My hope is that my artwork will tap into your emotions as it does mine.”
