Oaxaca, located in southern Mexico, is celebrated for its rich indigenous Zapotec and Mixtec heritage, vibrant festivals such as the Guelaguetza, and a culture steeped in artisanal crafts. The state's ceramics are a reflection of this rich history, with a wide variety of pottery styles ranging from functional vessels to intricate sculptures and jewelry, all crafted using locally sourced clay and time-honored methods.
