My first experience in clay, besides making mudpies, was at a Texas high school in the 70’s. One pottery wheel shared between 20+ students.
I didn’t return to clay until 2006 when I enrolled in a Partners in Clay class at a local community college with my daughter. She has since moved on to other interests and I have been addicted to clay ever since. My family has tried intervention but to no avail. I “self-medicate” with clay daily.
Throwing on the wheel is my passion. I have done some salt-firing and am currently interested in Horsehair Raku.
