VISAGES
I have begun to explore the VISAGE as a means of expression. My Teacher Laurie Childers (also a WCG member) sent me the URL for a website http://www.scribd.com/doc/4899015/Les-tribus-de-lOmo
The faces of these children moved me to make a vase that could be decorated much like the decorations the children use.
Fujin, the Japanese Wind Spirit, his facial expression was hard to come by but is just what I wanted.
A fellow Ceramicist has loaned me a mold of his face. It has inspired me, moved me and given me much pleasure. Here his Visage is of Boletus, the Celtic version of Zeus as the Sun .
COME UPONS
Many have bought my mushrooms “Come Upons” I call them. The Chanterelles are very popular, the color is hard to achieve. I have had mushroom hunters mistake them for the real thing!
